With a name like “sights”, it had to be optometry! Dr. Emilie Seitz is a native from Cleveland, Ohio. She studied Biology at The Ohio State University and remains a loyal Buckeye. Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Seitz obtained her doctorate degree in 2020 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Philadelphia, PA. After graduation Dr. Seitz felt the call to serve those who have served. She elected to pursue a residency in Ocular Disease at the W.G. (Bill) Hefner VAMC in Salisbury, North Carolina during the COVID-19 pandemic. After residency, Dr. Seitz practiced in Charlotte, North Carolina for 4 years before moving back to her home state. She currently holds active optometry licenses in both North Carolina and Ohio. Dr. Seitz has advanced clinical experience in ocular surface disease and previously practiced at Clear Eyes and Aesthetics, a dry eye–focused specialty center. She has authored numerous publications on dry eye and glaucoma management and is a proud Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, where she serves on the Anterior Segment Section Committee and is a member of the Glaucoma Section. Dr. Seitz is also actively involved in the Ohio Optometric Association and will serve as the next Zone Governor for her district. Now based in Cincinnati, she continues to focus on ocular disease management and comprehensive eye care.
